Themes are a set of predefined formats for font,
colors, and graphics. You can also create custom color themes and save
them. The Themes option is located in the Page Layout Tab.
Word now has a tool to assist with inserting
citations in a paper. You can then generate a list of sources from the
citations. The Citations option is located in the References Tab
You can add page numbers to the top, the bottom, or
the margins of a document. Page numbering is associated with headers and
footers. Information that is stored in headers and footers or margins
appears dimmed, and it cannot be changed at the same time as the
information in the body of the document. To quickly add a page number,
select Insert then in the Header and Footer area, mouse over Footer and
select an appropriate format.
Office Word 2007 offers a gallery of already made
cover pages. Choose a cover page and replace the sample text with your
own. Cover pages are always inserted at the beginning of a document, no
matter where the cursor appears in the document. On the Insert tab, in
the Pages group, click Cover Page.
If you use the Styles gallery throughout your
document, you can easily create a table of contents page. Click where
you want to insert the table of contents, usually at the beginning of a
document. On the References tab, in the Table of Contents group, click
Table of Contents, and then click the table of contents style that you
want.
