Print notes for students in PowerPoint
Phil Matlock
If
you are using Microsoft PowerPoint in your classes and would like to print
notes for a student that may have missed a class or e-mail them to the
entire class you can do the following:
-
open the presentation
-
click File on the main menu
-
click “Send To”
-
click “Microsoft Office Word”. A new screen will
appear “Microsoft Office Word” with options;
-
from this list of options you can select
the one that meets your requirements. I like the “outline only”
option. If you click this option it will send it to Microsoft Word;
you can edit it at this point and save as a word document, html or any
format you like.
-
You can print this for the student that
missed class, e-mail to any student that requested notes or to the
entire class.
-
I use this technique to upload and post notes on a class
page. This is just one of the many advantages to using Microsoft PowerPoint as a
teaching tool.
