Comments in Word?

Meredeth McCoy

Have you ever received a document that all of the comments and changes were displayed? Did you want to read it without all of the changes listed?

If it is not already displayed, go to main menu bar (at the top) and choose:

  1. Tools

  2. Track Changes.

You should see 2 or 3 buttons that look like a piece of paper, with a pencil attached with arrows in them.

  1. Scroll over the buttons until you see accept changes (paper, pencil and check mark). There should be a scroll button to the right of it.

  2. Left click on the scroll arrow

  3. Choose “Accept All Changes”.

The comments and changes should go away.

If you are sharing an original document and want to keep up with the changes made, make sure you choose:

  1. “Tools”

  2. “Track changes” before sending the document out for review.

If you want to insert a comment, highlight what you want to comment about, then:

  1. From the main tool bar, choose “Insert”

  2. Then select “Comment”.

Happy Editing!
