Offering technology training
to faculty is one of Columbia State’s priorities for accomplishing its strategic
goals. Since we have more than one-hundred full-time and two-hundred part-time
instructors, and only a part-time training staff, there will be a need for
Faculty Technology Mentors to provide additional support.
The Faculty Technology Mentoring Program is a peer-to-peer network of faculty
ready to provide technical support in the use of on-line course management
tools, discipline specific software, and core computer competencies. They
will be the first line of support to assist faculty in their problems.
Mentors will assist faculty on an "as needed basis" throughout the semester.
If you are interested in becoming a Faculty Technology Mentor, contact the
Director of Academic Support Services and Distance Education.
